About Renal Pathlabs

Renal Pathology is an extremely challenging branch of pathology which deals with native and transplant biopsy reporting. Light microscopy (LM) and immunofluorescence (IF) are essential components of renal biopsy reporting. Several special stains performed on a precisely cut renal biopsy helps in diagnosis. DIF panel consists of IgG, IgA, IgM, C3, C1q and light chain ( Kappa and Lambda).

Kidney diseases are common cause of morbidity and mortality in India. In the era of advancement in medical and surgical field, proper and standardized reporting of native and transplant biopsies is essential and a key for timely medical management. Specialized equipments are needed to process and report kidney biopsies. Proper sample handling and preservation of tissue are prerequisites for precise reporting.

Dr Pooja Maheshwari did her M.B.B.S. in the year 2005, MD (pathology) in the year 2010, and PDCC(Renal Pathology) in year 2011, since then she is providing sercices of pathology in reputed path labs. For last 6 years she is exclusively doing renal pathology in Dr Lal Path Labs (National Refernce lab- Rohini, Delhi) which is the biggest setup for Renal Pathology and also SRL Diagnostics, Gurgaon.
